Mungo is a family-run homeware textile company that merges the traditional art of weaving with contemporary design. All Mungo products are individually woven at the Mungo Mill in Plettenberg Bay using the highest quality natural fibres. Commitment to quality and transparency underpin the entire process - right from the selection of fibres to the finished product.

Behind each product is the accumulation of thousands of hours of experience, carefully sourced natural fibre yarns, traditional weaving machinery, history and knowledge - both learned and passed down.

In 2020 Mungo became South Africa’s first Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified weaving mill - a world-leading standard that ensures environmentally and socially responsible production processes along the entire supply chain - right from the farming of the raw materials, to the finished product.
