Traditionally the tribal farmers in Zimbabwe and Zambia use baskets in their villages to collect and store grain. They are created by the ancient practice of weaving natural fibres such as ilala palm, sisal, seagrass and cane reeds. Many of our artisans take time in the year to plough and prepare the fields for these crops that will sustain their communities. The beautiful organic materials add the perfect touch of soul to your home or commercial project.

The products themselves are all handmade - the weave creates the pattern, texture and layers. Colours are created with natural organic vegetable and mineral dyes. Whilst we maintain a high standard of production and quality control within the weaving groups, we equally celebrate the individual and their craft.
